You will always need an IPhone to set the Apple Watch up. It does not have to be on cellular, wifi is fine, but you need an IPhone.

I dont get why Apple didn't make the base model to 16G which will probably cost them $10-12 but can jack up the base model by $60 and sell them like cakes. 8G is small niche market mostly for novice users. Truth is that we all know 8G would be enough 95% of the time but anyone with real technical experience wouldn't want to get anything less than 16G.

The M1 version doesn't suffer the low band issue in the 256Gb model. And you probably don't use it open a hundred tabs and two IDE windows with Docker containers in the back. If 256G was not a single module like M1 Air, this is a great choice, but since it is not, go either m1 air or m1 pro, depending on your needs. I got both, one for my daughter and one for me, and yes, I tried M2 256G and M2 512G, but the former is slow, the latter is too expensive compared to its capability.

remember, FHD = Full HD = its only 1080p.
and yes for 27', highly recommend 1440 or 2160 (4K). the price wasn't much different. Go do your research for 1440. you wont regret it to upgrade to UHD (1440) instead of just stick to FHD (1080p) cuz its cheap. If you use the monitor on daily basis, invest better ones. Long usage help your eyes as well.

This is such a ridiculous remark. There were 4 channels in the previous 16 gb models (4gb*4). Now Apple wants to save money and started using 6 gb unit. Different cars have different gas tank size because they have different MPGs. But a full tank of gas will let you drive similar distances with different cars (excluding hybrids). This is such a ridiculous remark. There were 4 channels in the previous 16 gb models (4gb*4). Now Apple wants to save money and started using 6 gb unit. to get a lower price, compromise on processor (m3 instead of m4) or RAM (8GB instead of 16GB) or screen size (13 inch instead of 15 inch) or memory (256 GB instead of 512GB). If you want to upgrade any feature, ready to shell our 200$. That's why I bought apple stock :)
