Why are these so expensive? It is essentially a printer.

Market share? Fewer people buy these, I assume, which means lower demand to defray overhead. Also, I suspect the ink/toner is of a different, more expensive composition to account for the use, and the mechanisms must handle heavier media. Kind of makes sense to me, though I am no expert in ANY OF THESE FIELDS... //@Anonymous: Why are these so expensive? It is essentially a printer.

all label printers use thermal transfer technology, no ink/toner consumption at all, the thermal transfer has the advantage of low consumable cost and fast printing, but the downside is considerably low printing resolution. And the thermal mechanism dominated most of its cost. This dual printer model should be used in a fast pace environment like takeout counter to double printer efficiency and at this price point, this one is unbeatable //@Anonymous: Market share? This is SIGNIFICANTLY louder than the original PS5 so if you’re not a fan of jet engine style fans running at all times, please do NOT upgrade and go with the original PS5 even when buying new.

Bought this at work. Two hudge disappointments: 1. software compability. Even my LG 34 inch monitor can't display properly and needs a driver, which is not avaiable. A lot other softwares (printer, etc.) need way too much attention 2. Surface pen does not work, even though this is a touch screen.

So many reports of Lenovo laptops breaking right after the warranty ends these days. Supply chain problems hitting the company, or just greedy design decisions?

1080 is good for up to 24”, it’s horrible for 27” unless you never read text on the monitor. You need at least 1440 QHD on 27. //@anonymous: Bestbuy has 27inch for the same price //@Anonymous: Good deal?

$197 now

remember, FHD = Full HD = its only 1080p.
and yes for 27', highly recommend 1440 or 2160 (4K). the price wasn't much different. Go do your research for 1440. you wont regret it to upgrade to UHD (1440) instead of just stick to FHD (1080p) cuz its cheap. If you use the monitor on daily basis, invest better ones. Long usage help your eyes as well.

Regular price was $119, then $129, $134, and now $145 and call it a deal? Go back to $109 and we got a deal for HP’s lowest priced monitor.
Anonymous
MSRP is $119. The pandemic is overall. It’s a budget but flimsy monitor but definitely beat any competition at $119. However, anything >= $119 is no deal.
