And the chip is supposed to "protect you" from accidentally killing yourself by using a generic, third-party, non-Apple (aka. not "premium") charging cable. Isn't the EU just helping out Apple. Apple wanted to reduce waste by eliminating the charger. So Apple now has the opportunity to help the environment even more. //@Anonymous: Because new EU regulations require this.

2022 M2 13" 8gb 256gb $899 is a better deal IMO. Most people won't need the extra RAM. Apple Silicon is great with RAM management.

Unfortunately SSD is not an easy DIY, if even possible. //@Anonymous: 2022 M2 13" 8gb 256gb $899 is a better deal IMO. Most people won't need the extra RAM.
