micro center is my first store choice, if there's one around you, esp in NJ, they somehow got down the tax to 3.5% in the garden state, while state tax around double that. Last time, I was checking a Mac mini, micro center got nice promotions like 150 off, and with the tax save makes it even sweeter. Not avaialbe in NY on the special tax save.

I've been using it for a few years. It has annoying little issues here and there. Recently, friends and family told me they called. My phone not only didn't ring but also didn't show anyone had called. I changed a few phone settings with no avail. There are other annoyances.

I was lucky to get one from BestBuy local store using price-match when Walmart was on sale and available. The price was $449 after price-match and there is 5% in-store Cashback from third party Cashback website, plus credit card has 10% back up to $25 offer (chase). Combined almost $100 off. If BestBuy store do not have inventory, you can pay local and they will ship to you.

If you meant comparing with iPads. The mini has a better CPU than both 10th gen and 9th gen iPads. It can record 4K vidoes while only 10th gen iPad can. It supports 2nd gen Apple pen while neither gen's iPad can..... //@Anonymous: why mini more expensive?
